Actor Vin Diesel recently made headlines for walking down the aisle with Meadow Walker, the 22-year-old daughter of his late friend and Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker. Meadow got married to her partner, actor Louis Thornton-Allan, in a private ceremony in the Dominican Republic earlier this month, and Diesel was there to support her and commemorate his friend’s relationship with her.
Diesel and Paul Walker became fast friends and co-stars in the Fast and Furious trilogy, with their friendship continuing off-screen as well. Unfortunately, Paul Walker passed away in a tragic automobile accident in 2013 at the age of 40, leaving behind his teenage daughter Meadow. Despite his passing, Diesel has continued to stay connected to the Walker family, particularly Meadow, who is also his goddaughter.

In a recent Instagram post, Diesel paid tribute to his late friend on what would have been his 48th birthday, saying, “So much to tell you… usually I would say you wouldn’t believe how I spent your birthday… but by the safe conclusion, I know you were there with me in spirit. I’m missing you. Always.” Meadow also paid tribute to her father on his birthday, sharing a childhood photo of herself with the late star and captioning it, “Happy birthday, daddy, I love you.”

Diesel has previously hinted that Meadow could potentially join the Fast and Furious franchise, saying, “Let me just say, without giving you all of Fast 10’s secrets, nothing’s ruled out.” Diesel also spoke about his close relationship with Meadow, saying that she is “extremely protective” of him and that she is the first person to wish him a happy Father’s Day on the holiday.
He also noted how much it means to him to see her playing with his own children, saying, “When I watch her playing with Pauline, it hits me so hard because I can only imagine what my brother sees when he sees that.”
It’s clear that Diesel’s friendship with Paul Walker and his love for the Walker family continue to be important to him, and his support of Meadow during her wedding day is a testament to that.
While Paul Walker may be gone, his memory lives on through those who loved and respected him, and Diesel is one of those people who will continue to honor his friend’s legacy.
