“Unicorn dog” almost put to death due to a bump on head has found forever home

Strawberry, the adorable “unicorn dog” who captured hearts around the world, has finally found her forever home after a difficult journey. The two-year-old pit bull was once near death, with a large bump on her head that almost led to her being euthanized.

However, thanks to the efforts of the La Belle Foundation, a Los Angeles-based animal rescue organization, Strawberry was saved and nursed back to health. When she was ready for adoption, Kristen Kuhlman, a mom of two from South Pasadena, California, fell in love with Strawberry and knew she had to adopt her.

Kuhlman had been following Strawberry’s story online, and was struck by the dog’s unique appearance and gentle eyes. She had a soft spot for dogs that were missing limbs or had other special needs, and Strawberry’s story touched her heart.

When she finally brought Strawberry home in September 2022, the dog was understandably nervous and confused, having been shuffled from shelter to shelter for much of her life. But Kuhlman and her family gave Strawberry all the love and support she needed to adapt to her new surroundings.

Despite her rough start in life, Strawberry has become a beloved member of the Kuhlman family, who are thrilled to have her in their lives.

Kuhlman’s children love playing with Strawberry, while her husband enjoys snuggling with her on the couch. Strawberry has even become a local celebrity in her neighborhood, with fans greeting her by name whenever she goes out for walks.

For Kuhlman and her family, Strawberry is not just a pet, but a true friend and companion, who has brought them joy and love beyond measure.
