In the video, the boy, identified as Shayden Walker, is seen going from door to door in search of new friends. Ray’s doorbell camera captures his poignant plea for companionship. As Walker approaches the door, Ray warmly greets him, asking, “What’s up, man?”
With a hint of restlessness, Walker opens up, saying, “Hi. I just wanted to see if you knew any kids around like 11 or 12, maybe because I need some friends. Like, bad.”

Ray discovered, upon reviewing his doorbell camera footage, that Walker had initially approached his house but possibly lost his confidence and left the porch.
However, after 30 minutes, Walker returned, walking along the sidewalk, determined to gather enough courage to knock on a stranger’s door in search of friendship. This video touched the hearts of netizens, particularly those who have experienced bullying and could empathize with Walker’s challenging situation.
Inspired by the young boy’s bravery, Ray initiated a GoFundMe campaign to support Walker, aiming to purchase him a gaming system, school clothes, and even amusement park tickets or any other items he may want or need. The campaign raised over $37,000 before closing.
Ray and his family documented their visit to Walker’s house in an emotional video, which tugged at heartstrings.
