A teenager hailing from Staffordshire, England, is illuminating the world with the gentle radiance of kindness, one small gesture at a time.
When the pandemic abruptly shuttered his school in March 2020, 17-year-old Sebbie Hall faced disappointment as he realized that his conversations with a friend would be curtailed. While virtual chats were feasible for Sebbie, his friend lacked the necessary device. Determined to bridge the communication gap, Sebbie decided to selflessly offer his own iPad.
Soon, Sebbie’s mother, Ashley Hall, proposed a more ambitious idea: Why not raise funds to provide devices for not just his friend, but also other students in need?

After careful contemplation, Sebbie devised a plan. “I can be kind,” he affirmed.
His initial aim was to raise £1,000 (approximately $1,390) by performing 10 sponsored acts of kindness over 10 days. Upon achieving this milestone, he generously donated every penny to charitable causes and acquired a device for his friend. However, Sebbie’s journey didn’t conclude there; he unearthed an epiphany about himself.
“I’ve realized kindness is my superpower,” he acknowledged. “I won’t stop. I aspire to amass more funds and spread more joy.”
Undertaking random acts of kindness can be a daunting task for anyone, but for Sebbie, it’s a genuine miracle. Battling a rare chromosome anomaly and learning difficulties, he defies odds. A past prediction even stated that he would never walk or speak.

Ashley remarked, “Approaching strangers and initiating conversations is a challenge for any young person, and it’s even more demanding for Sebbie due to his struggle with words. Yet, he discovered this inner wellspring of kindness.”
This reservoir of strength has propelled Sebbie to undertake an astonishing 1,600 acts of kindness. His endeavors encompass a spectrum of tasks: walking neighbors’ pets, washing cars, distributing personal protective equipment, providing coats to the homeless, and even collecting discarded Halloween pumpkins to craft soup and pies for those in need.
His selfless dedication has captured global attention, resulting in over £28,000 (around $39,000) in donations on his Crowdfunding page. With these funds, he has supported diverse noble causes, including aiding a rugby team with disabilities, furnishing communication kits for children in specialized schools, and founding an arts hub for individuals with disabilities.

Sebbie’s next ambitious goal is to raise sufficient funds to establish physical therapy suites by running 2 miles daily. His resolute determination, coupled with the monumental support he’s garnered, undoubtedly assures his success. He has even caught the attention of luminaries such as actress Joanna Lumley and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The profound impact one individual can exert on countless lives is truly remarkable. As per Sebbie’s mother, the transformation within him is palpable—a newfound standing within his community and an elevated self-assuredness.

“It has given him a place within his own community and a confidence he never had before. What he has achieved is nothing short of remarkable,” Ashley declared. “I am immensely proud of him.”
