Dogs are such amazing and smart creatures. They always jump into action to save the day when they sense danger, even when we don’t need them to.
Recently, some actors found this out the hard way when their performance was a little too real and a dog stepped in to steal the show.
Recently, an actor named Numan Erturul Uzunsoy was in a play in Turkey that was performed outside. In one scene, he had to act like he was hurt.
He told The Dodo,“The character I played was injured and in great pain,” he told The Dodo. “He’d fallen off a horse, and was breathing hard.”
But his act must have been very convincing, because at least one audience member, a stray dog, thought it was real.
Since the dog didn’t know much about theater, it seemed to think that Numan was hurt and ran over to check on him.
As the actor’s face was licked by the dog, the actors couldn’t help but “break.”
Numan said, “I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses,” Numan said. “I was very touched. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was not expecting it.”
People say that the audience loved the scene, and the actors were moved by how kind the dog was. So the play could go on, a crew member led the dog off stage, and the stray seems to have gone off again.
People in Turkey are known for being kind to strays, and it looks like street dogs will return the favor by helping people in need. Numan says that if he can find the dog, he will try to help him.
“The next day I went to the same place, looking for him. People told me he usually hangs out there. I went again today,” Numan told The Dodo.
“I’ll look for him until I find him. I’ve always loved animals.”
