Not ones to give up so easily, the girls put their heads together and came up with a plan. Amanda decided to lay down in a fetal position and play dead in the area where Bear was last spotted. They returned the next day and waited patiently, hoping their plan would work.
For two hours, Bear sniffed and investigated the area, but eventually lost interest and wandered away. Amanda remained undeterred and stayed in the same spot, patiently waiting for Bear to return. One hour later, he did just that. This time, he sat beside her for a while before ultimately winning his trust.
With Bear finally trusting her, Amanda was able to transport him to the vet, where he received the medical care and attention he so desperately needed.
Although the animal welfare organization Lost & Found Pets in Washington attempted to locate Bear’s owner, they had no luck.
However, a family reached out and expressed interest in adopting him, giving Bear the loving home he deserved.

This heartwarming story is a true testament to the power of compassion, perseverance, and creativity in making a positive impact on the lives of animals in need. Amanda and Dylan’s refusal to give up on Bear has touched the hearts of thousands of animal lovers and inspired them to make a difference in the world around them.
