There is a good reason why Christmas is almost certainly the most well-known holiday to all us. Every year, it brings magic, happiness, and the joy of the holiday season to the entire world, regardless of where you are in the world.
This is not a simple undertaking for the hospitalized children who are bedridden. Because it must be a tough experience to have a son or daughter in hospital over the Christmas holiday, the parents of patients at a hospital in Texas were pleasantly surprised to see Santa Claus when he visited their facility.
The man with the long beard went to see the ailing children and spent time with them in the hospital, with the goal of lifting their spirits and providing them with something to take their minds off of their conditions.
Obviously, the youngsters didn’t have any way of knowing that this particular Santa would go out of his way to do extra things for them.
In 2018, Mariana Whitley Tumlinson, who was the director of the hospital, posted the following message on Facebook: “I keep getting choked up with this photo. Today, after Santa visited our patients and was on his way out, he noticed our Chapel.
“I, of course, said yes. I didn’t walk in with him right away but when I did I was so moved by this image I had to capture it.”
When Santa Claus paid a visit to the children, it is said that he got on his knees and prayed to Jesus for the children’s well-being before leaving.
“What a great reminder of the reason for the season. #reasonfortheseason #myfavoritesanta.”
There’s no need to state the obvious, but Mariana’s post ended up going viral.
In addition to receiving a large number of touching comments, the image of Santa kneeling in prayer was shared 45,000 times.
That, without a doubt, caused a tear to form in one of my eyes. Did that give you an emotional response as well?
