Renowned “Margaritaville” crooner Jimmy Buffett has passed away due to cancer, as indicated by a recent report.
Following a skin cancer diagnosis four years ago, the illness advanced to lymphoma, ultimately leading to the 76-year-old’s demise, TMZ reported.

A source shared with the outlet on Friday, “He lived his life in the sun, literally and figuratively,” highlighting that Buffett had been under hospice care since Monday.
Reportedly, Paul McCartney paid a visit to the Grammy nominee at his residence within the past week to serenade him.
News of Buffett’s passing was made public early Friday morning through a statement posted on his social media profiles.
The statement posted online conveyed, “Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1 surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs.”
“He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many,” the statement concluded.
Buffett is survived by his wife, Jane Slagsvol, along with his children: daughters Savannah and Sarah, and son Cameron.
Numerous celebrities have paid tribute to the entrepreneur with heartfelt messages on their social media platforms.
Kenny Chesney, for instance, shared an Instagram video on Friday with the caption, “So goodbye Jimmy.”
“Thanks for your friendship and the songs I will carry in my heart forever. Sail On Sailor.”
Elton John, for his part, called Buffett a “unique and treasured entertainer,” adding, “This is the saddest of news. A lovely man gone way too soon.”
