When Latana Chai was at home with her infant daughter Masailah, who is seven months old, the unthinkable occurred. Masailah is roughly the same size as the eight-month-old pit bull belonging to the family, Sasha.
On June 3, around midnight, Sasha’s mother heard her barking loudly and scratching at the backyard door. She noticed that the dog was barking especially loudly and became immediately alarmed. She was aware that something was wrong. The family’s gentle four-legged member was not acting at all like this.
When she opened the door to see what the dog was barking at outside, she was horrified to see flames and black smoke coming from the adjacent home. According to KTVU, the fire was rapidly approaching Latana’s home.
According to local police, a 12-year-old who was abducted by seven men with the intention of forcing her to marry one of them suffered a terrible ordeal.
She had endured multiple beatings and gone missing for a week. The rescuers, however, could never have predicted that three lions would be the ones to save her.
The men and the girl were found by a small herd of lions, who immediately sent the kidnappers fleeing for their lives. They protected the young girl while on guard for about a half day.
According to Sgt. Wondimu Wedajo of the NBC news, “They stood guard until we found her and then they just left her like a gift and went back into the forest,” Sgt. Wondimu Wedajo told NBC news.
“If the lions had not come to her rescue, then it could have been much worse. Often these young girls are raped and severely beaten to force them to accept the marriage,” he added.

According to The Guardian, it turns out that the dolphins were attempting to defend the family from a great white shark.
One family member told the New Zealand Press Association, ”They started to herd us up, they pushed all four of us together by doing tight circles around us.”
