Rhae Harris, a 45-year-old photographer from Delta, Ohio, operating under Rhae Rose Photography, shared on her Facebook page that she had been coordinating with Muriel Michael, 28, for a while to arrange a photoshoot for their family of five. Finally, on Saturday, March 26, the long-awaited meeting took place.

Harris couldn’t help but express her admiration for the children’s exceptional behavior and delightful nature. She particularly highlighted the one-year-old Riggs, describing him as the most remarkable baby she had ever photographed. Riggs exuded sheer joy, flashing his beaming smile at her and even shouting “CHEEEEESSEEEEE” a few times.

Muriel, along with her life partner Xavier Brown, 25, and their one-year-old baby Riggs Brown, joined by Muriel’s son Deklin Jankowski, 9, and daughter Aurora Michael, 7, enthusiastically posed for Easter-themed photographs.

Reflecting on the captured moments, Rhae emphasized the profound love that emanated from the family, evident in their photographs. She eagerly anticipated future collaborations with Muriel, who had expressed interest in hiring Rhae for engagement and wedding photography. Tragically, that opportunity would never come to pass, as the family of five met with a devastating fate in a car accident shortly after the photoshoot.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred when Zane Hull, 21, failed to yield while traveling westbound on County Road H, resulting in a collision with Muriel’s vehicle traveling south on County Road 14 in Clinton Township.

Tragedy struck as Xavier and Deklin tragically lost their lives at the accident site. Aurora and Riggs, initially taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center for treatment, succumbed to their injuries. Muriel, also hospitalized, fought bravely but tragically passed away on Monday night.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision sustained minor injuries.

To support the family of five with funeral expenses, a GoFundMe page has been established. Within just one day, the campaign has already raised over $40,000, serving as a poignant reminder of the immeasurable value of life. It underscores the importance of never taking anything for granted.

Please help spread the word and keep the loved ones of this family in your thoughts and prayers.
