Parents unexpectedly get a remark on their kids’ restaurant behavior from a stranger

Ryan and Maggie were rendered speechless when reading the note from the stranger, which discussed how their kids behaved that evening in the restaurant.

Going out might occasionally feel like herding livestock, especially for bigger families with several children. There are moments when the situation is calmer, allowing everyone to enjoy their supper quietly. On the other side, we can run into someone who is staring us down with their eyes like they’re about to stab us.

Kids can definitely be a challenge.

Consequently, a bystander in Texas decided to write a letter to the family after observing how a group of children behaved in a restaurant.

At Rico’s Hacienda, the Bokorst family dined. With five kids ranging in age from 4 to 14, one might readily anticipate things to become a little noisy. Such is family life, especially while you’re out.

The father, Ryan Bokorst, said: “We just try to make sure to let them know that when they are out in public, specifically, that they are well behaved.”

Five children of varying ages? It may be chaotic with just two children. The seven-person family, however, was able to have supper quietly because of their good parenting and open communication.

It’s not necessarily negative to see kids running around.

They are naturally inquisitive, playful, and sociable with other kids. However, it can be a little unsafe and distracting in enclosed public venues designed for purposes other than playing.

When the family prepared to pay the check, the server brought them something additional, surprising them all. They discovered it was a handwritten letter.

Ryan shared: “I asked for the bill and the waiter brought me the little booklet with the note in it. I was speechless and not quite sure what was going on.”

The letter wrote: “Sir I was so impressed with your family tonight. Your children were well-mannered and courteous. You two should be proud as parents. You both have done well. It was my pleasure to pay your bill tonight. Your family is truly a breath of fresh air in the days of children screaming and running around. Have a blessed day and week.”

Hopefully, the children will recall this tale as they mature and become the individuals they were meant to be.

The letter was not signed in any manner, which prevented the family from thanking the anonymous writer directly. They were unable to identify the guest since he left before they could finish the meal. But they were very grateful to him for this letter of praise.
