Only about 9% of mares that become pregnant with twins will be carried to term. So when Tiki, a 16-year-old American Paint horse, gave birth to twin foals, the arrivals drew national attention. Throughout her pregnancy, this sweet older mother did everything correctly, which was overseen by the Mason family, who made sure she had regular ultrasounds to monitor the babies.
