To a man from Ohio, there is nothing more enjoyable than playing around in the snow.
Ever since he was a kid, Blake Dixon has always had a bit of an obsession with snow days. In point of fact, when he was in the middle school, he had a recurring fantasy of constructing a snow palace or anything along those lines.
After a number of years had passed, his childhood goal eventually materialized, and now he is overjoyed beyond measure.
We’re talking igloos, of course.
After many years of hard work and dedication, Dixon was finally successful in constructing the largest igloo of his career.
The man began working on his big project a few weeks ago, but things didn’t appear to be heading in the right direction at first.
The friend of Blake’s who assisted him in building the igloo stated:
“When we first started working on it, all we had was a pile of snow, and then we were working on the inside to pull it all out.”
“The top collapsed, and with some ingenuity from Blake, as well as a little bit of persistence, we were able to reconstruct the dome.”
In spite of the difficulties, the group was able to construct an igloo with many rooms.
The so-called “snow castle” has a fully furnished sitting area, a hallway, and a second chamber.
Dixon is pleased with the work that he does.
He and his buddies put in a lot of effort to make it happen, and now that it’s paying off, he couldn’t be happier to see others enjoying themselves inside his igloo.
Not done yet
The igloo has enough room for at least seven people and two children. However, when the whole thing was originally made public, it was not yet finished.
The man stated that there were some more additions that had to be made in order for it to be finished.
He intended to install a chimney in addition to a fireplace, and the crew was already hard at work on that project.
The big reveal
A few days ago, Blake posted the completed igloo to his Instagram account, and he received hundreds of likes on the photo.
He demonstrates in the video that there is now a fireplace, a television, and that the igloo is pretty much the ideal spot to spend an evening doing nothing but lounging around.
If someone is very worn out, they can even choose to take a nap in the additional room, which features numerous layers of blankets to keep them warm.
In his posts, Dixon expressed his gratitude to all who had assisted him in the completion of this endeavor and encouraged others to follow their own dreams.
He wrote, “Brainstorm an idea and make it happen. It’s a blessing to see an idea come to reality, seeing smile on people’s faces, and inspiring the young community!”
For the record, Blake Dixon just received his master’s degree in climate change and international sustainability, and he is, in his own words, “ready to save the world.”
We don’t know if he’ll be successful in that endeavor, but for now, he has brought joy to many people with his building, and for that, he should be proud.
The area he created is ideal for relaxing.
