These high school sweethearts aimed for the quintessential Colorado wedding set amidst the mountains. However, their experience turned out to be far from the norm. Cailyn recalls the day starting with flood warnings and the dampening rain that arrived during their vows. Despite the entire wedding party getting drenched, the day remained vibrant, and Cailyn dubbed it “awesome.”
Then, in a scene straight out of a movie, a black bear materialized. Just as the dancing commenced, the bear nonchalantly hopped onto the desserts table, treating itself to lemon bars and cannolis. Fortunately, the bear’s intentions were limited to pilfering food, and the event staff promptly shooed it away. Cailyn humorously lamented not getting any of the cannolis herself. Reflecting on their wedding day, she told KCRA 3, “This takes the cake, literally.”
Nonetheless, the couple maintains a cheerful outlook, emphasizing, “Life doesn’t always go to plan but it’s how you get through it together.”
