Despite the considerable strain it would place on Tisha’s already large family, she willingly agreed to care for Audrey’s children when Audrey was diagnosed with esophageal and stomach cancer.
The chain of events started when Audrey approached Tisha with a request to care for her children for just one night, as Audrey needed to be admitted to the hospital for medical tests.
Tisha, being a good friend, agreed to help out and wished Audrey all the best.
Regrettably, Audrey received a diagnosis of stage two cancer affecting her esophagus and stomach.

Audrey commenced her treatments with the hope of a full recovery, driven by her deep desire to be there for her three children.
Tragically, Audrey’s cancer proved to be highly aggressive, and as the months went on, her health deteriorated rapidly.

Thankfully, Tisha remained a pillar of support for both Audrey and her children throughout their challenging journey.
At that pivotal moment, Audrey approached Tisha and her husband, Kevin, with a request to become the legal guardians of her children.

Despite already having five children of their own, both Tisha and her husband, Kevin, selflessly agreed to take in Audrey’s children.
Soon after Tisha made the decision to adopt Audrey’s children, Audrey tragically passed away.
Fully aware of the difficult situation the children were facing, Tisha was resolute in her determination to make their lives as enriching as possible.

Having experienced being an orphan herself and not finding adoptive parents, Tisha had gone through a series of foster homes during her own childhood.
“They’ve been through too much. They deserve a loving family, and a place to call home.” – Tisha Beauchmin.
Undoubtedly, raising a total of eight children at once was a formidable challenge. However, Tisha and her husband were unwavering in their commitment to not let the kids down.
Despite their diligent efforts, Tisha and her husband faced financial challenges while striving to meet the children’s needs.
Initially, Tisha and her husband took on the role of being foster parents to the kids.
In order to become the adoptive parents of the children, Tisha and her husband had to make changes to their home to accommodate the additional kids on a permanent basis.

For some time, the children had to share rooms and even beds due to limited space in the house.
Fortuitously, a local news team caught wind of the situation and extended a helping hand to Tisha and her family.
The news team enlisted the services of renovators to enhance the living conditions for all the children. While Tisha was informed that only a wall would be installed in her loft, in reality, a lot more was planned.

During the renovation process, Tisha and her extensive family lodged in a hotel for a few days. The renovators worked their magic, and the entire house underwent a complete transformation.
Every inch of the home received a makeover by the renovators; walls were painted, doors were replaced, the exterior was landscaped, carpets were swapped out, and all the furniture was updated. And not to forget, they also installed the loft wall as promised.

Upon their return, Tisha and her family were left in awe at the sight of the remarkable transformation carried out by the renovators.
“I would never have thought in a million years my home could look like this.” – Tisha Beauchmin.

The most gratifying part was that nearly every child finally had a bed of their own.
Chad, who happened to be Tisha’s oldest son, was the only child who did not have a bed to call his own. However, luck was on his side. Being an adult, Chad had been searching for an apartment of his own. The news team generously offered Chad $1,500 to aid him in securing a new place.
Lastly, the news team presented the sizeable family with a few additional gifts.

They covered the cost of a year’s worth of groceries for everyone residing in the house. Additionally, they gifted the family a spacious new van that could accommodate all the children in a single trip.
At present, Tisha was able to proceed with the formal adoption of Audrey’s children.
Undoubtedly, raising eight children will continue to pose a challenge for Tisha and her spouse. The adopted children will also have to cope with the loss of their birth mother. However, they can take solace in the fact that their community stands by them in their time of need.
