Chiquita Hill, a 33-year-old single mother, made the decision to teach her 10-year-old son a valuable lesson.
According to ABC News, Hill learned about her son’s disrespectful behaviour at school one day. It happened when his class teacher knocked on her door and said she wanted to talk about her son’s behavioural issues.
Sean, the mother’s child, had misbehaved in class, according to the teacher. On several occasions, he was rude to his peers and disrespected teachers. She also stated that Sean was not paying attention in class and that whenever she attempted to speak with him, he showed no interest.
She informed her mother that she had finally decided to pay her a visit after trying everything with Sean in class.
Hill became upset and concerned about her son’s future after listening to the teacher. That’s when she realized she needed to take action.
The mother told the news outlet that she wanted to correct his son’s behaviour and put an end to the evil. So she devised a strategy.
“I knew I had to do something to shock him.”
Chiquita contacted the Columbus Police Department after meeting with the teacher to inform them of her problem.
Initially, she was unsure whether the Police would assist her. But then she explained everything and told them about her difficulties as a single mother. She stated that the police were aware of her situation and decided to assist her.
So, as planned, she returned home and informed his son that the police were on their way to arrest him for his stubborn attitude and disrespectful behaviour at school. He, she claimed, refused to believe her.
“[Sean] didn’t believe me. … When they showed up at the door, that’s when it hit him.”
When the cops arrived, they told the mother to send her son, Sean, out as planned.
They informed him that he was being arrested for inappropriate behaviour at school and disrespecting his teacher. When the police officers arrived at his door, the child was taken aback.
He was handcuffed and taken to the Police vehicle by the two officers. They made him sit inside the car and drive it.
“The two officers tried to make it look “real” and did their best. He actually thought that he was going to the jail.”
After nearly five minutes, the poor child ran home, crying and shaking.
“I was trying to get the point across to my son; if you want to be disrespectful and you want to be rude, this is what happens when bad people do bad things,” she explained.
During the five-minute detention, the two officers asked the boy if he was sorry for his actions and told him to be a good boy at home and at school.
Sean sobbed as the cops lectured him. He then promised that he would never do anything like that again.
“They told him they would let him go if he promised that he would behave like a good boy,” said the mother.
Chiquita was certain that she had done the right thing, and his son had learned a valuable lesson that he would remember for the rest of his life.
