After being missing for two days, a woman was miraculously found alive inside a Jeep that had been nearly submerged in a lake in Marion County, Texas. The incredible discovery was made on April 7, when fishermen noticed the top of the vehicle floating in the water and immediately notified the authorities.
As the Jeep was being readied for extraction from the lake, officials were stunned to learn that someone was still inside and moving. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office confirmed this in a statement, saying, “As the jeep was being prepared for removal from the water, it was discovered a person was still in the vehicle and moving.”
After a two-day disappearance, a woman was found alive inside a Jeep that had been almost entirely submerged in a lake in Marion County, Texas. The discovery was made on Friday, April 7, when fishermen noticed the Jeep’s top floating in the water and contacted authorities. While preparing to remove the Jeep from the water, officials realized someone was still inside the vehicle and moving, according to a statement from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman, who had been listed as missing, was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. Officials have yet to determine how long the Jeep had been in the water and how it ended up there, but they have not found any suspicious activity in the case. As Capt. Chuck Rogers of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office stated to NPR, “There was nothing uncovered during the investigation to suggest this case was anything more than an accident.”
