Dan Housler, 62, hailing from Portage, shared with Michigan Lottery officials that he’s a regular player of Club Keno The Jack.

“I play Club Keno The Jack when the prize gets to around $100,000,” he said. “I have been lucky in the past and won a $239,074 prize a few years ago.”

Recently, Housler engaged in a game at Fletcher’s Pub No. 2 on Oakland Drive in Kalamazoo. His chosen The Jack numbers managed to match eight out of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn in 2230786.

Reflecting on the experience, Housler recounted, “I bought my ticket and went home from Fletcher’s. When I got there, I checked my wife’s tickets and mine. On my third ticket, the confetti flew on the app screen and the prize appeared on the screen. I was so surprised. I’ve never seen this much money at once in my life.”

This stroke of luck bestowed upon him a prize of $503,254, marking the largest jackpot in the history of the game.

Housler revealed that he intends to channel his prize money into securing his retirement. “Winning this at my age means I can pay some bills and set myself up for a comfortable retirement,” he said.
