Alabama parents are doubly blessed with identical twins, as Britney and Frankie Alba welcomed twin daughters Lynlee and Lydia in August 2022, just 13 months after the birth of their sons Luka and Levi.
In an interview with Today, the entire family gathered together, although the boys couldn’t resist exploring their surroundings and even ventured off the set, prompting co-host Sheinelle Jones to play the role of “auntie Sheinelle.”
Despite the challenges of raising four children under the age of two, the parents expressed their gratitude for each other’s support and the grace of God.
The couple had initially thought they were expecting only one more baby but were surprised to learn they were having twins again, leading them to laugh at the ultrasound technician’s serious revelation. The girls are “MoMo” twins, sharing the same placenta and amniotic sac, which is a rare occurrence.
Due to the increased risks associated with the pregnancy, Britney was admitted to the hospital at 25 weeks, receiving the best care and close monitoring.
Continuing their tradition of same-letter names, the couple chose Lydia and Lynlee for their daughters, with Lydia being inspired by a church encounter and Lynlee named after a dear friend whom they consider a superhero.
