Otha Anders spent 45 years collecting pennies, and when he handed them to his bank tellers, they were completely amazed.
Mr. Otha Anders is a teacher, he started hoarding coins in the 1960s, but not for the sake of getting rich, but simply because he enjoys doing it.

He was even uninterested even after the government started a program where it would pay $125 for each $100 in pennies turned in.
Anders poured the coins he had gathered into large water jugs.

He said that at one point, his objective was to fill up five enormous water jugs, but after doing that, he felt compelled to continue. He had to turn them into the bank or he would never do it.

He had 15 5-gallon jugs full when he finally decided to go to the bank.

It took more than 5 hours to open all of the jars, which required the use of an ax. By the time everything was completed, Anders’ coin collection was valued at thousands of dollars. It must have been not an easy task for the bankers to count these huge coins.
