Scott Drummond discovered there is life after death when he passed away on the surgery table. He returned to share what he had seen during twenty minutes of his death.
Scott was informed that he would require regular surgery to fix his thumb following a terrible skiing accident.
But he never anticipated that God would grant him the opportunity to discover for himself that there is life after death and, more importantly, that God is real!
Nurse’s mistake led to a man dying on the operating table
Scott passed away on the operation table when he was 28 years old. He recalled entering the operating room and then feeling a warming sensation run down his arm. Then he found himself in the operation room, looking down at his corpse.
Now in his late 60s, Scott recalled the moment he left his body.
Scott saw the nurse run out of the operating room while yelling, “I killed him!” Since she had never applied a tourniquet before, she made a mistake.
There are two valves on this tourniquet, and one of them releases pressure. When she opened one, she neglected to close the other. Blood was flowing the wrong way because of this mishap.
He said, “I had the sensation of something going up my arm and across into my heart, and the next thing I knew I was above my body looking down at the operation. Then in a twinkle of eye I was suddenly transported to a field full of magnificent flowers and waist-high grass by his faceless guide.”
Scott Drummond now thinks that God was his faceless guide. He recalled, “The next thing I knew the person that had escorted me there was not there anymore and I was by myself, but it was so peaceful.”
Scott became calmer as he felt God’s presence, but he then abruptly began to watch a video of his life, starting from the day he was born and ending when he was standing in the field. But Scott knew he was living for the wrong reasons at that very time. He looked at his life from a distance—the good and the bad—and felt as though his intentions and actions were being judged.
“I remember some of it hurt. Some of it made me feel good. But it was what it was.” He added, “I knew I had to do better with my life.”
Amazing testimony of man who came back from dead
God instructed Scott, “It is not yet your time. You have more things yet to do.”
Scott was yanked back to earth by an arm that resembled a father’s, or the strong, calloused hand of a farmer. He abruptly returned to his body.
His doctor informed him that the operating room had changed into a battle room when he awoke. After being declared dead for 20 minutes, his medical team had worked hard to revive him.
Since then—more than 30 years ago—Scott has never been afraid to pass away, not even in the midst of a pandemic that affects the entire world. He is aware that this life is not the end. And Scott no longer looks back on his life and regrets the decisions he made. He brushes the past aside and lives each day to reset, reprioritize, and allow God to redeem it.
