Lioness takes matters into her own paws: Captures wild selfie video with GoPro camera

In Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve, a lioness took control of a nature photographer’s GoPro camera and recorded an exciting selfie video while on the hunt.

The daring lioness can be seen inspecting the camera, which had been strategically placed for her to interact with, before swiftly taking it in her mouth and making a run for it.

The footage provides a close-up view of her formidable teeth and offers a unique perspective of her nose as she races through the bush-covered terrain.

“I’ll admit that I was worried about getting the camera back,” shared wildlife photographer Ahmed Galal from the United Arab Emirates with Caters News.

“We managed to chase after the lioness, and she dropped the camera,” Galal said.

 “Although it had a few scratches, the GoPro still functioned,” he said.

As the footage concludes, the jungle’s cameo queen lets go of the stick amidst the grass just as a vehicle appears on the horizon.
