Kourtney Kardashian shared on Wednesday that she had undergone “emergency fetal surgery” to ensure the safety of her unborn baby. In her Instagram post, she expressed her appreciation for the medical team who played a pivotal role and her husband, Travis Barker, who had unexpectedly left the Blink-182 tour last week to be with her.
She said, “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear.”
She continued, “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”
Kardashian and Barker are anticipating the arrival of their first child as a couple. Kardashian is already a mother to three children from her previous relationship with Scott Disick.
Last Friday, Blink-182 made the decision to postpone several upcoming shows, citing an official statement that Barker had to return home due to “an urgent family matter.”
On Wednesday, Barker revealed that the tour will recommence this Friday.

Just a few hours before the band’s announcement regarding the postponed shows, Barker had reached out to his fans, requesting their prayers. He shared images of himself inside a prayer room on his Instagram story.
