Kerry Washington sends love and prayers to Jamie Foxx, her movie husband, as he is rushed to the hospital for a mystery medical emergency, leading star tributes.
On Thursday, Kerry Washington expressed her love and support for her ‘movie huzbin’ Jamie Foxx, wishing him a swift recovery after he was hospitalized earlier this week. Foxx, who experienced a ‘medical complication’ on Tuesday, is said to be recovering according to an update shared by his family on social media on Wednesday.
Washington, 46, took to Instagram to share a heartwarming photo of herself snuggled up to the Oscar Winner, accompanied by a caption that read: ‘A @iamjamiefoxx appreciation post. Sending you all the love and prayers my movie huzbin.’
Kerry’s post was filled with red heart and prayer hand emojis as she referenced her two roles alongside Jamie Foxx.
The Emmy-winning star and Foxx first portrayed husband and wife in the 2004 Ray Charles biopic, Ray, and later reunited in 2012 when Kerry played the role of Jamie’s enslaved wife, Broomhilda, in Quentin Tarantino’s epic Western, Django Unchained.

Not only Kerry Washington, but other leading ladies in Hollywood also sent well-wishes to Jamie Foxx. Oscar winner Viola Davis, 57, posted a heartfelt message of support on Instagram, captioning a picture of them together and writing: ‘Get well @iamjamiefoxx. We need you… your light, your brilliance.’
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais, 56, also expressed her appreciation for Foxx with a sweet post, saying: ‘This an appreciation post for my friend @iamjamiefoxx. J I love you so much !!! I want & need you to get better soon. Sending you light love and prayers.’
The outpouring of love for Foxx comes after his family released a statement describing his health incident as a ‘medical complication.’ However, a source revealed to TMZ that it was a more serious ‘medical emergency,’ although Foxx was now ‘communicating’ again.
Foxx’s family, including his daughter Corinne Foxx, 29, who posted the statement, shared that he is ‘on his way to recovery’ and expressed gratitude for the prayers and privacy during this time. DailyMail.com reached out to Foxx’s representatives, who have not yet responded.

TMZ sources have confirmed that Jamie Foxx’s undisclosed condition was serious enough to require hospitalization. However, few details have been shared, leaving it unclear what symptoms the Oscar winner may have been experiencing or what led to his hospitalization.
Although Foxx’s family released a statement stating that his condition is improving, there is no update yet on when he will be able to leave the hospital or resume filming. Foxx has been in Atlanta, Georgia, filming the Netflix action-comedy Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz, but the production has reportedly encountered significant challenges.
