A member of the online community Reddit shared a story that brought Reeves back into the public eye.
It was a woman in her eightieth year who was the recipient of the actor’s goodwill.
A member by the name of afdc92 posted a tale on Reddit about his grandmother. Because Reeves looked so much like her late husband, she developed a serious infatuation on him. Grandma has also watched each and every one of the actor’s films.
Following a stroke that she suffered in her early 70s, Grandma was limited to her home for the next ten years of her life. She started watching movies as a hobby.
The Reddit user’s uncle was in Los Angeles at the time “The Matrix” was released in theaters, and he was dining at a ritzy restaurant. At that time, Reeves walked into the restaurant with a female companion.

Reeves’s uncle was patient and waited for him to finish his dinner before approaching him.
The uncle said: “I don’t usually do this, but I just wanted you to know that my 80-year-old mother loves you and has seen all of your movies. You remind her of my dad.”
After that, Reeves questioned whether or not he had a mobile phone before telling him, “Give her a call, I want to talk to her.”
The Redditor shared: “He spoke with my grandmother for several minutes and it absolutely made her year. She was so isolated and his genuine kindness to her and interest in her showed what a truly amazing man he is.”
Nobody knows for sure whether or not the story is real, but given that Reeves is famous for performing random acts of kindness, it is not hard to believe.

Reeves is a very popular actor, and many of his movies have brought in millions of dollars at the box office. And yet, despite all of this, the man is one of the kindest and most grounded people who have ever roamed the earth.
