A young girl, who fell out of the back door of a bus in Missouri, is now recovering at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, according to a police report. The incident occurred while the bus was in motion, causing the girl to tumble onto the pavement.
The family’s lawyer from Aaron and Sachs Law Firm released a statement on behalf of the parents, expressing gratitude for the support received and requesting privacy during this time as the child receives medical treatment and an investigation is carried out.

The bus, owned by the Christian Life Center church in Harrison, was being driven by Pastor Tim Hampton. Hampton reported that the children on the bus alerted him to the incident, prompting him to pull over. Another driver informed him about the girl’s fall, after which he returned to the scene and waited for the arrival of the police.

Ryan Ciampoli, a licensed EMT and volunteer firefighter, happened to be driving behind the bus on Highway 65 when he witnessed the back door unexpectedly open. Reacting swiftly, he rushed to help the unconscious girl.

After moving her to a safe location, he worked to keep her conscious and assessed her vital signs. Soon, she regained consciousness and started crying out for her mother.
Within minutes, paramedics arrived and transported the girl to the hospital. She suffered a broken jaw, requiring surgery, but is expected to make a complete recovery. The police have not filed any charges at this time.
