Shocking video footage captures the harrowing moment a 6-year-old boy plunged nearly 40 feet from a zipline at a Mexican amusement park.

The incident occurred at Parque Fundidora’s Amazonian Expedition in Nuevo León, and the child is currently recovering from the ordeal.

According to family members who shared updates on Facebook, the boy’s harness broke, leading to his fall into a specially prepared pool below the zipline.

Disturbing footage obtained by Fox News shows the boy and an adult companion on the zipline, abruptly halting before the boy tragically falls.

The distressing incident left bystanders screaming in horror as the young boy was suspended mid-air, captured in the video footage before it abruptly ends.

Mexican authorities reported that the boy fell nearly 40 feet during the incident.

Family members, who identified the boy as Cesar, shared that a compassionate tourist bravely leaped into the water to assist him.

According to the boy’s brother, who spoke with Fox News, Cesar sustained minor physical injuries from the fall but is experiencing psychological trauma and fear as a result of the incident.

Nuevo León government agencies have temporarily suspended several attractions at the park while authorities conduct an investigation.
