Grandmom struggling to raise six great-grandchildren by herself experiences a Christmas miracle

Ms. Ella believed her parenting days were over after raising her own children and some of her grandchildren. But at a time when she should have been able to relax, she was instead caring for her six great-grandchildren.

The 72-year-old military widow from Las Vegas, Nevada is caring for her children and deteriorating home without assistance.

Ms. Ella’s home experienced a Christmas miracle, thanks to her best friend.

Even though her best friend Ms. Alice, also known as Alicestine Miller, resides in California, she never stops thinking about her.

Ms. Alice contacted the Fox 5 Surprise Squad in order to assist her friend.

When the Surprise Squad arrived at Ms. Ella’s front door after responding to the call, she was overcome with emotion.

When asked about her great-grandchildren, she told the Surprise Squad,“Oh Lord, they mean so much to me,” she told the Surprise Squad when they asked her about her great-grandchildren. “They’re my heart.”

Ms. Ella refused to explain why she took in her great-grandchildren, stating only that she had to save them.

The Surprise Squad flew Ms. Alice in, and after wiping away their tears, they were whisked away for a spa day while a team of maintenance workers completed much-needed repairs.

The team members arrived with a truckload of new furniture, carpets, children’s beds, and even Christmas decorations.

The home of Ms. Ella was filled with new furniture, beds for the children, and gifts including a $500 gift card for each child.

‘Christmas miracle’ “They are going to have a fit,” Ms. Ella cried.

“It’s a Christmas miracle,” Ms. Ella’s great-granddaughter exclaimed when she saw her home’s extensive renovations.

In addition, the Surprise Squad arranged for Ms. Ella’s rent for the following year to be paid in full.
