A photo of Jon Newman has become viral, showing him providing support and companionship to his spouse during her cancer radiation treatment, while she is in isolation.
Marci Newman recently received a diagnosis of thyroid cancer and has been undergoing radiation treatments, necessitating her to remain in isolation.
However, her partner refused to let that stop him from being there for her.
One day, when their 17-year-old daughter Mackenna returned home from school, she encountered a touching sight. She discovered her dad, Joe, sitting on a chair positioned just outside her mom Marci’s room. The door to her mom’s room was partially open.
Moved by the scene, the young girl captured a photograph of her dad providing companionship to her mom and shared it on social media. The photo quickly gained traction and went viral, amassing over 71,000 retweets and more than 172,000 likes. Numerous internet users extended their heartfelt support and kind words to Mackenna and her family.
Expressing her gratitude, Mackenna expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming love and support that she and her family received on social media. Her mother, Marci, added that her partner’s act of sitting by her side held a deep significance and was truly special.
