The footage showed Savannah’s partner playing with their son, who was tightly wrapped in cling film, rendering his arms immobile. The couple found the activity amusing and commented on how their child resembled a worm or cucumber.
The viral clip of Gunner having fun caught the attention of many netizens, but his reaction led them to believe that the little child was distressed and unhappy.
A Knock at Their Door Changed Everything
The netizens’ accusations gained rapid traction on social media, and some went as far as contacting child protective services to report the incident.
While all this was happening, Savannah, the mother, was completely unaware of the overwhelming public outcry against her video. It was only when she heard a knock at the door that she realized something had gone wrong.
The Mother Was Heartbroken
Savannah was shocked when the police arrived at her door soon after the video was posted. They informed her that her son would be taken away until the allegations could be investigated.

After her son was taken away from her home, Gunner’s emotional mother made a video where she tearfully assured users that she would never do anything to harm her miracle baby. She said:
“All I can say is that my son is so loved and cherished … He’s the light of my life. We made a mistake and we don’t deserve our child taken away because of it.”

Traumatized by the Ordeal
Fortunately, the heartbroken mother’s ordeal came to an end. In a follow-up video, she disclosed that Gunner had been returned to her care. While she was relieved, she was still traumatized by the experience.
She informed users that her family would be taking a break from social media and expressed gratitude for having her boy back home where he belonged. However, the online community continued to express their opinions on the ordeal.
