On January 5, Fred made his usual stop at the shop, but he was greeted with far more than just his regular order. Store manager Daniella Kraus had learned that it was Fred’s 95th birthday, and she decided to throw a party for their loyal customer. The employees at the shop were eagerly waiting for Fred with balloons, gifts, and customized donuts bearing his photo.
Cuppy the Dunkin’ mascot was also present at the party to greet Fred at the door. The friendly and cuddly mascot gave him a warm hug before leading him to his reserved table. There, Daniella presented him with a plethora of gifts, including a new winter hat, a travel mug, and, of course, a dozen customized donuts with his photo on them.

The text on the donuts read, “Happy 95th Birthday Great Uncle Fred!” As Fred opened his gifts and looked around at all the attention he was receiving, he was blown away by the outpouring of kindness and generosity. When they handed him two sets of 95 gift cards, each worth $5, he was astonished and humbled.

“Can I buy everybody a cup of coffee?” he quipped, showing his genuine appreciation for the employees at the shop who had become like family to him over the years.
Fred thanked everyone for their generosity and kindness, singling out Daniella for the way she takes care of the store and her customers alike. “This gal [Daniella] is incredible,” he said. “She’s the hardest working manager. Dunkin’ is lucky to have her, and I’m lucky that she knows me.”

As the party came to an end, Fred gushed, “They’ll never top this; this was fantastic.” The story of Fred’s birthday celebration has touched the hearts of people all over the world, showing that even small acts of kindness can go a long way in brightening someone’s day.
