When it became clear that Poppy-Mai’s condition was terminal, Andy made another vow to her. He promised that he would do everything he could to raise funds to establish a sanctuary in her memory where parents could bring their ill children.

As Poppy-Mai’s final moments approached, Andy and Sammi brought their daughter home from the hospital. The very next day, in fulfillment of his promise, a wedding for his little girl was taken play at their home. Numerous friends and family members were in attendance, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
