Delightful $75 meal takes a surprising turn with $15 ‘one hole’ charge

A couple’s upscale dining experience took an unexpected turn when they discovered an unusual line item on their expensive dinner bill, which later became an internet sensation.

The jaw-dropping $15 charge on the receipt simply stated, “You’re an A–hole,” prompting the husband to share a copy of the tab on Reddit in March, accompanied by the caption, “My dinner receipt had a message for me.”

The diners were taken aback by the audacity of their server, Katie, for adding such a peculiar expense to their night out at the Westgate Bourbon Bar and Taphouse in Beaverton, Oregon.

However, the husband soon had an epiphany before reacting hastily. He explained on Reddit, “My wife and I went to a restaurant for her birthday, and we both had cocktails. I completely forgot the name of the cocktail by the time the receipt came, but its name was ‘You’re an A–hole, Mr. Burton.'”

The quirky libation, known as “You’re an A–hole, Mr. Burton,” is composed of gin, port, lime juice, honey, peach bitters, and egg white, served with a brown sugar drizzle in a coupe glass, as per the restaurant’s description.

The diners chose not to leave a tip, citing the waitress’s perceived rudeness for asking if they wanted to split the bill. The unexpected charge left the Reddit user admitting, “It definitely caught me by surprise.”

Intriguingly, another line item on the bill, the “$18 Fried Chicken Tit,” also piqued the interest of online users.

Many commenters were curious about the menu item’s details, and it turns out it’s a fried chicken breast sandwich featuring Havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, basil, and mustard aioli, all served on a grilled ciabatta bun.
