Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have joyously welcomed their fourth child, a beautiful baby boy named Wren Alexander Stephens. Their son arrived on June 19, lovingly brought into the world through a surrogate.
The renowned model and acclaimed author of the “Cravings” cookbook, Chrissy Teigen, shared the surprise announcement on June 28 via a heartfelt Instagram post. In her message, she revealed her lifelong desire to be a mother of four, a dream she has cherished since her own childhood.
Teigen nostalgically reminisced, “For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children. As a little girl, 2 glow worms and 2 cabbage patch dolls were perpetually in my arms, helping me stir in my kitchen, watching ‘Alf’ with me. We’d sleep together nightly, each getting the same amount of kisses as to not make the others jealous.”

She fondly recalled her mother’s search for a Pound Puppy with four pups in its pouch, willing to open and peek inside to ensure it was the perfect choice. These memories underscored the significance of her long-held aspiration.
Acknowledging the pain of their previous pregnancy loss, when they were expecting another son named Jack in 2020, Teigen confessed her initial doubts about her ability to conceive naturally again. She shared, “After losing Jack, I didn’t think I’d be able to carry any more babies on my own. To be honest, I’ve personally blocked out a lot of my mindset during that time, but one clear memory is being surrounded by people who wanted to make sure I wouldn’t go through that pain and loss again.”

Inspired by their unwavering support, Teigen and Legend began exploring surrogacy options in 2021. Teigen revealed, “We contacted a surrogacy agency inquiring about perhaps having 2 tandem surrogates.” However, a change of heart led Teigen to express her desire to “try to carry just one more time” to her husband, John Legend. This decision prompted them to restart the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process, resulting in the conception and birth of their daughter, Esti, born in January.
Alongside their newest addition, Wren Alexander Stephens, Teigen and Legend are the proud parents of their seven-year-old daughter, Luna, and their five-year-old son, Miles.

Expressing deep gratitude, Teigen took a moment to acknowledge their surrogate, Alexandra, whom she described as “the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate” in her announcement. Teigen and Legend expressed their profound appreciation for the incredible gift Alexandra had bestowed upon them, as they shared their joy with the world and introduced their son, Wren Alexander Stephens—a name forever connected to their surrogate.
With the arrival of Wren, the Teigen-Legend household is now officially complete, filling their hearts and home with immeasurable happiness. In a poignant tribute to their late son, Jack, Teigen concluded her message by acknowledging that the angel kisses received by Wren and Esti are sent with love from Jack.
