After buying the property, Brad began to renovate and expand it, and whenever a house beside his came up for sale, he would buy it. One of those houses belonged to an elderly man named John who had lived there with his wife until she passed away. John realized he would soon need to sell the property, although he didn’t want to.

Brad, being the kind-hearted person he is, made an offer to John. If Brad could buy it now, John could live there rent-free until he passed away. The man jumped at the offer and soon became a tenant of the home he loved so much. When making the deal, Cassandra believed that Brad thought the man wouldn’t live very much longer as he was in his mid-90s after all. However, John ended up living much longer than anyone thought he would and passed away at the age of 105.

Cassandra recalls Brad’s kindness and how he would always look out for the older man, even going so far as to drive him to and from the grocery store on certain occasions. John was an integral part of the community, and it must have hit everyone in the neighborhood hard when he passed. Brad’s six children with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie had come to know and love John, and they were devastated when they heard the news.

After John’s passing, Brad sold the huge estate he had built up and received an estimated 40 million dollars in the deal. It was only one of the actor’s houses, though. He also has another home in the Hollywood Hills, one in France, and he and Jolie purchased an island off the coast of Dubai.

Cassandra says that she will miss living next to her friend. She recalls how one day, as she was walking her dogs, she passed by Pitt preparing for the movie “Fight Club” in his garage. “I go past Brad’s garage, and he’s in there wearing only sweatpants,” the actress says, “he’s got on boxing gloves and is punching a bag. I swear I almost fainted… He’s just so stunningly, stunningly handsome – and nice to top it off.”
