According to lottery officials, a high school graduate from Washington won $50,000 on his first lottery ticket.
As a graduation present, Lance Wall, 18, of Washougal, received a $20 Six Figures scratch-off ticket from his father.
The graduate picked up his very first ticket and scratched it.
His father noticed right away that his present had grown from a $20 lottery ticket to $50,000.
There is a 1-in-913,00 chance of winning, according to the Washington Lottery.
Wall told the lottery’s administrators that he intends to enjoy his summer vacation and save the money for his future. The 18-year-old’s current goal is to pursue a career as an artist.

According to lottery officials, the winning ticket was purchased at the 7 Market in Camas.
