Adding a bit of variety to the 2023 Oscars, host Jimmy Kimmel surprised the audience at the 95th Academy Awards on March 12 with a special guest – none other than Jenny, the adorable donkey who starred alongside Colin Farrell in the Oscar-nominated film “The Banshees of Inisherin.”
While it’s unclear whether it was the real Jenny or a lookalike, Farrell couldn’t have looked happier when he saw the cute animal brought onto the stage at the Dolby Theatre.

Kimmel quipped that Jenny is not just an actress but also a certified emotional support donkey, eliciting laughter from the crowd. He even encouraged people to come up and give her a hug if they were feeling upset or anxious.
On the champagne carpet, Farrell graced the event with his 13-year-old son, Henry Tadeusz Farrell, wearing matching Dolce & Gabbana tuxedos with black velvet and silk satin lapels. Farrell’s Irish flag on his lapel was a nod to his home country and his role in “The Banshees of Inisherin.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Farrell spoke about how his children helped him appreciate his success and take pride in it.
Looking forward to getting back to work, Farrell said that he’s just trying to enjoy it all and soak it in, now that he knows what’s important to him in life. Along with his Oscar-nominated role in “The Banshees of Inisherin,” he will also star in the upcoming “Batman” film.
