Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife, Angela Ribeiro, have been keeping their followers updated on their daughter Ava Sue’s condition through social media after a recent incident.
Reports indicate that Ava Sue had to undergo emergency surgery on May 12, just one day before her 4th birthday, to prevent scarring resulting from a fall off her sit-down scooter. Alfonso shared pictures of Ava’s injuries, revealing extensive bruising and burns on her right elbow, shoulder, and around her right eye. He expressed gratitude towards the medical team at Kare MD Skin Health for their emergency services and procedure, and also praised Ava’s bravery during the surgery.
In an Instagram post, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star wrote, “Not the kind of day you want the day before turning 4. Just want to give a heartfelt thank you to [Kare MD Skin Health] for the emergency service and procedure to help lessen the likelihood of [scarring]. So proud of how brave my baby girl was during the surgery.”
Ava’s mother, Angela, shared further details about the accident, mentioning her premonition that something might go wrong that day. She revealed that she had warned everyone to avoid engaging in any risky activities that could lead to an emergency room visit. Unfortunately, Ava fell off her scooter shortly after Angela’s warning.
Following the accident, Ava was promptly taken to Kare MD Skin Health, specifically to Dr. Raffy, in order to minimize the chances of scarring in the future. Angela acknowledged the difficult situation and commended Ava for her courage, stating, “Not a fun way to spend your last day as a 3-year old, but she was a trooper. Giving this sweet girl some extra cuddles tonight.”
Kare MD Skin Health also took to Instagram on May 12 to send their birthday wishes to Ava and express their gratitude for Alfonso’s kind words. They wrote, “Thank you for the very kind words [Alfonso]. We are so honored to take care of your precious princess Ava. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.”
It’s always distressing when our little ones get injured, but thankfully, Ava is on the road to recovery. We can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Alfonso and Angela’s daughter is doing well.
