During a homecoming parade in Texas, 17-year-old Tyra Winters, a cheerleader, exhibited her heroism by using basic life-saving techniques to rescue a choking toddler. Tyra’s quick thinking and bravery have earned her nationwide recognition as a champion.
As Tyra and her fellow cheerleaders and football team from Rockwall High School near Dallas were participating in the parade in 2019, Tyra noticed a distressed mother in the crowd shouting for assistance as her young child choked on something.
