12-year-old’s emotional solo at his parents’ wedding vow renewal has gone viral

Renewing wedding vows is an emotional event, especially when loved ones play an active role. Recently, 12-year-old Aiden captivated viewers when a TikTok video of him singing at his parents’ vow renewal ceremony went viral. Videographer Danielle Tufano shared the three-minute video clip on April 12, and it has since amassed around 4.6 million views and more than 871,000 likes.

Aiden revealed that his mother had suggested he sing at the ceremony, and he immediately agreed. He chose to perform Calum Scott’s “You Are the Reason” as it held sentimental value for him and his parents. Although Aiden felt nervous about performing in front of a large audience, he was excited to sing for his parents.

As Aiden began to sing, he became emotional, wiping away tears before regaining his composure to finish his heartfelt pite his initial wavering, Aiden’s performance was memorable and moving. His mother, Kemorene Mills-Armstrong, said that many guests in attendance also teared up during his performance.

Aiden’s passion for singing shone through, and he hopes to continue taking lessons and meeting his favorite singers, including Calum Scott, Bruno Mars, and Charlie Puth. His performance even caught the attention of Calum Scott himself, who left a comment praising Aiden’s rendition of his song.

Renewing wedding vows is always special, but this ceremony became even more memorable due to the overwhelmingly positive reaction to Aiden’s singing.
